Utilisation of Miscanthus x giganteus L. Based C-Rich Fertilisers for N Immobilisation and Microbial Biomass Build-Up in a Crop Rotation

Cultivation of perennials such as Miscanthus x giganteus Greef et Deuter (Mis) combines the provision ecosystem services and generation additional carbon sources for farming. The potential Mis based fertilisers, regarding immobilisation inorganic nitrogen (N) build-up soil organic matter (SOM), was tested in a field trial. Therefore, crop rotation winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), mustard (Sinapis alba L.) catch crop, sugar beet (Beta vulgaris wheat (Triticum aestivum set up. treatments were mixture Cattle Slurry (CS) Mis, CS Wheat Straw (CS–WS), Manure (CM) from shredded bedding, CM WS pure CS, Urea Ammonium Nitrate (UAN) treatment without any N applied (NoN). When carbon-rich fertilisers (both mixtures manures) to cereals, they led slight compared whereas differences mostly not significant.
